Before joining Aberystwyth University as lecturer in accounting and finance, I have worked as a senior consultant in Corporate Finance at Ernst and Young Ltd. Prior to that, I was involved in the finance department of the African Leadership Unleashed Ltd (working in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University) as Interim Financial Controller and Internal Auditor. I have also worked as financial modelling engineer (Senior Financial Analyst) for Bayport Management Ltd, a payroll lending company; and have had secondment opportunities in Botswana and Mozambique. I was involved in budgeting, forecasting as well as strategic planning and analysis of the company. Furthermore, I have had working experiences as financial analyst at Emtel Ltd (part of Millicom), a multi-national telecommunications company and as external auditor at KPMG.
My passion for education led me to lecture on a part-time basis at the University of Mauritius in Advanced Financial Economics to Year Three students of the BSc(Hons) Actuarial studies course where the students are eligible to apply for exemption for the CT8 Financial Economics exams from the Institute of Actuaries, UK.
