Professor Ved Prukash Torul stands out as a well versed academic and practitioner in Employment Law. His latest publication Procedural Fairness in the Law of Unfair Dismissal in Mauritius and South Africa, is a rich addition to legal literature which reflects on a model providing a proper and fair procedure in the context of dismissal due to misconduct.
His long academic journey has meaningfully been associated with the University of Mauritius,University of Zambia, University of Transkei. University of Cape Town, University of South Africa, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, University of Technology of Mauritius, University of Durban- Westville, and Aberystwyth University (Mauritius Branch Campus) where lies his major contribution to teaching and research on Labour Law and other law modules.
As a Consultant, Professor Torul has been engaged in Labour Law Projects funded by International Labour Organization, United Nations Development Programme, Frederich Ebert Foundation, Flemish Ministry of Education (Belgium), University of Antwerp (Belgium), Centre for Scientific Development on the Human Science Research Council (South Africa).
